Wine

Bannockburn 1314 A.D. Pinot Noir is named for the year of the Battle of Bannockburn, a landmark battle for Scottish independence from England.

The fruit comes from younger vines in Bannockburn's Ann's Block. The grapes are destemmed into open fermenters, with a portion included as whole bunches.

After wild fermentation the juice spends 2-3 weeks on skins. Pressed to French oak for malolactic fermentation, it matures in barrel for eight months.

Bright crimson, Bannockburn 1314 A.D. Pinot Noir is vibrant with forest fruit flavours offset by the lift from the whole bunch inclusion.

Though ready to drink on release, it can be cellared for four years.
